CPMI do INSS: onde santos choram, carecas se calam e milionários surgem do nada / INSS CPMI: where saints cry, bald guys stay silent, and millionaires appear out of nowhere
— Senhor Careca do INSS...
INSS CPMI: where saints cry, bald guys stay silent, and millionaires appear out of nowhere
Guys, I’ve been having a blast watching the INSS CPMI hearings. And look, I’m retired and, no doubt, a masochist.
I always try to see the funny side of things. I’ve always been like this, and now I’m sharper, more on point.
I keep watching the presentations of these so-called “honorable gentlemen,” and they all have such a pure aura that if you put a halo and a white robe on them, they could pass for saints on any church altar.
Some even cry while telling their stories. They talk about their tough childhood and how they fought to get where they are today. Their private jets, luxury cars, billions in transactions, countless companies under relatives’ or strawmen’s names — all achieved through “hard work.”
But in my humble opinion, even if the “lucky one” had sweated blood, it wouldn’t be possible. I have no idea how someone making 60 grand can move 1.5 million. But thanks to my principles, and not the fine examples from Brasília, I could never do it. Not in a million years.
One of these “Midas types” talked nonstop. But when it came time to answer what really mattered, he’d go: “I reserve the right to remain silent.”
Well, I wish they all understood that I reserved the right not to be robbed. But I was. Which just shows: some laugh while others cry. In my case, I’d rather be with the criers and look in the mirror at this pretty little face God gave me, without shame or remorse.
The funniest part is that in that room full of “serious” men, a question started like this:
— Mr. Bald Guy from INSS...
Tell me, isn’t that comedy gold, my friend?
I thought it was about to go downhill into — chrome dome, cue ball, bowling ball, mosquito landing strip, hairless wonder — and let the 5th grade spirit take over the room.
Other witnesses are so clueless they were hired at 6 grand and, in four months, got a “little raise” up to 60 grand. Isn’t that amazing, Mr. Bill Gates?
Another thing: the guy lives in a rental house, so I can only conclude he’s either addicted to online gambling or hooked on something stronger.
And since there are more than 30 politicians, plus the rapporteur, asking questions, every hour the hearings just get more hilarious. I was waiting for some congressman to say:
— Noble Bald Guy from INSS, all the questions I wanted to ask have already been asked. So I’ll just use my time to trash Bolsonaro or Lula, depending on which side you’re sick of.
And speaking of the rapporteur, I think he’s great. A strong Northeastern accent that proves not everyone born in that region is blind or dumb. And he’s improved over time. His tough style is still there, but now he stands up, gets close to the poor witness, shows charts, numbers, and corners the “wise guy” from all sides.
Well, dear friend, I can’t wait for the next testimony. I’ve already got my popcorn ready and a napkin to wipe the tears — not of sadness, but of joy, from watching the faces of these “honorable sons of bitches.”
And may the bitch forgive me: she works way more honestly.
